Freddie Mercury's homage to Elvis, which he wrote in minutes — in a bathtub — kicked off the group's best year on the U.S. charts.

The following year, "Bohemian Rhapsody" returned to the Hot 100, this time hitting No. 2, after the song was used in a now-classic scene in the hit movie Wayne's World.
Deacon retired in 1997, and after a brief hiatus May and Taylor have toured since 2005 with guest vocalists that have included Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert. But first, Edney has a dream gig with Queen featuring Adam Lambert: headlining Isle of Wight next weekend with The Who. Then he’ll play the black tie Wintershall Charity Concert July 2 in Surrey with Jeff Beck, Roger Taylor of Queen and Gary Brooker of Procol Harum – all of whom have played with Edney’s SAS Band, along with the likes of Lionel Richie, Chaka Khan, Roger Daltrey of The Who, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull and Bob Geldof of Boomtown Rats, who Edney played with before Queen.
He talked about his dream gigs recently while having an organic lunch in Palm Springs.
